I teach in a third and fourth grade center with 360 students' backgrounds ranging across the entire spectrum of diversity: academically, socially, and emotionally. Our western Oklahoma economy is definitely suffering with the rest, but our students love coming to school and it is time for us to "catch up" with the technology available to us.

We have an assembly, called Rise and Shine, every morning to build a safe, positive learning environment and to start our day off on the right foot. It is a time when every teacher and staff member is in the same room at the same time and can hear and share announcements. Students lead Rise and Shine and take great pride in what they do. It is short and sweet but enjoyable. The situation we face, though, is that a little technology can always make it even better. Last summer, I spent time preparing a PowerPoint so that various learning styles could be met and so that we could "liven up" Rise and Shine. However, because of a lack of equipment, the PowerPoint has rarely been used.

A mobile projector station is what we need! We have a cart. A laptop has been funded already by DonorsChoose! Now all we need is a projector, and our school will be prepared for Rise and Shine and any other assembly or event we have in our gym. Students will simply plug-in the cart, connect his or her flash drive, and begin our day with a smile every morning.

Students take pride in their work and enjoy having the opportunity to implement technology in everything they do. Thank you for making this possible for every child in our school! We appreciate and cannot do it without YOU!!
