I am a Special Education Teacher, teaching children with Autism, Grades K to 2. The school helps in mainstreaming students to the General Education Classes.

I need these supplies to support the educational needs of my students with Autism. These supplies will help me to provide educational tools to enhance their learning in different ways as I will have more variety of tools. My first project will focus on phonics and front loading key vocabulary through a variety of group/individual activities during calendar activity, structured play activities using trains and other toys which my students with Autism like to play. Teaching will proceed by providing them educational toys of their need to better comprehend their learning. Providing a visual learning environment with colorful materials will also help in lowering their affective filter and at the same time make their learning challenging and fun. My Project will proceed from Interactive to Participatory language teaching.

I need these resources to better facilitate the learning of my students with disabilities in my classroom. It will help me to provide toys which will enhance their fine motor skills ans the Calendar will provide visual support for dates, day and months.
