Protecting You/Protecting Me

My students need flip chart paper, markers, stencils, and crayons for a program called Protecting You/Protecting Me.

Our goal is to develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community. My students range from 9th through 12th grade. The area in which I teach is a low-income farming community.

Each week my students go into the elementary schools to teach lessons from the Protecting You/Protecting Me health and safety curriculum. Several of my students are now interested in a career in education.

My students need flip chart paper, crayons, and markers, for the Protecting You/Protecting Me health and safety curriculum. These supplies are needed to make anticipatory sets for the elementary classes that my students teach in.

This project is showing elementary students the damaging effects that alcohol has on a young developing brain. It also gives them helpful tips to protect themselves when a parent or guardian is under the influence of alcohol.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
