"I am a third grade teacher of 24 inquiring 8 and 9 year olds in a high-poverty elementary school. My students come from various backgrounds and home life situations. To some of the students I teach, our classroom is there only stable safe haven.

Some of the students in my class have reading levels that range from 0.5- 2.5 and these are third grade students that we are talking about. Along with their low reading ability they have social, emotional, and behavior disorders.

A wireless listening center will enable my students to improve their reading levels and reading fluency by listening to books on tape and CD. A wireless listening center will also enable students who need to be to themselves the opportunity to do so while still being able to listen to the material being read to them.

Your help will ensure that my students have the same reading experiences as students who are able to read independently. The wireless headphones will stop the untangling of the headphone wires resulting in shorting out.

My students need a wireless listening center. The cost of this proposal is $473, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ?."

Dear Ina, Robert, Ms. Phillips, Deborah, Marquita and Anonymous Donors,

Thank you so very much for you kindness and generosity. Because of your huge heart, my students will become more fluent readers. We will use the wireless listening center to improve reading and comprehension skills.

Thank you again so much for doing what you do for children.

With gratitude,
Ms. P.
