Leap Into Reading!

My students need a set of 4 Tag School Readers and accompanying Children's Classics.

Leap into reading and discover a whole new world within the imagination! I am a Second Grade teacher in a high need urban community. My students have recently discovered a passion for reading thanks in part to my love for reading as well as the accelerated reading program our district just purchased. The Leap Frog TAG reading system would be an excellent system to enhance fluency and reading comprehension and fuel my students' excitement for reading even more!

My students are at various levels of reading (below, at and above grade level). It does not matter what level they are at... they all love to read. They started to show an interest in reading when I started to read them funny stories after lunch and then I would place them in the classroom library for them to read later. The accelerated reading program began in our school and my children love to check out books from our class library, read them and then take the AR quizzes on them. I am constantly looking for new innovative ideas to keep them excited about reading and the TAG Leap Frog reading system came across my path.

I need the TAG Leap Frog school reader pack and the children's classic series library. These resources will provide all of my students with the chance to build on fluency and reading comprehension. My below level students will be able to learn about sentence structure, parts of a story, reading directionality, as well as basic sight words and new words to help improve their reading level. My children who are at or above grade level will be able to work on increasing their fluency, vocabulary and reading comprehension.

Your help will ensure that my students are provided with yet another resource to assist them in reading. The TAG reading system from Leap Frog will help all of my students move forward in reading by leaps and bounds!
