Help us succeed on the SAT!
When my high school sophomores took a practice PSAT test earlier this year, many shrugged it off, thinking it was just a standardized test used to pass their day. However, once they learned about the potential to earn college scholarships based on excellent PSAT test scores, they vowed to do all they could to raise their scores before taking it again as juniors!
My English students have one year to prepare for the PSAT exam. They are committed to succeed because they understand the potential that a great PSAT score can afford them.
What's more, they understand that studying diligently for the PSAT is an excellent way for them to prepare for the SAT. This is one of the best ways that my students can prepare for college, since a high score on this test will open the doors to many of the colleges and universities they'd love to attend.
My students each need an SAT strategy book, a class copy of 11 practice tests, and a set of SAT vocabulary flashcards. If they can take a practice test each month, they'll be able to see their test scores go up as the year progresses, which will empower them before they take the PSAT and SAT! Our school serves a high-need community, and the school cannot afford to buy my students these books. Your donation will directly impact the future of my students because it will give them the tools they need to compete with other students, students who have the ability to pay for SAT prep classes. My students are intelligent and hard working individuals; they deserve an equal chance at getting a high test score and gaining admittance to a college of their choice!
Regardless of the unsavory trend towards standardized tests, it is imperative that my students be able to compete with those who already have test resources available to them. You can help prepare my students for college and beyond by donating to this project! We appreciate it!
