I teach 5th grade Math and Science. My school is in a very rural area and approximately 60% of our students are free/reduced lunch. Therefore, our students are a part of a low socioeconomic status and aren't awarded many hands-on life experiences. This is why I do all that I can to give them that while they're at school!

Our students face the challenge of not having opportunities for hands-on life experiences due to the socioeconomic status of their families and lack of resources. Through a donorschoose grant we received school gardens and we want to add a "natural habitat" area so that our students can observe animals in their natural habitats. Please help us to give them this opportunity!

We need a mixture of bird feeders and butterfly feeders. This will allow our students to go out into "the field" and observe animals in their natural habitats while learning Science and becoming one with nature and hopefully gaining a greater appreciation for nature and the world around them.

Your help will ensure that my students recieve a "hands-on" life experience while also learning and developing an appreciation for nature and the world around us. HIDE
