I teach second grade in a rural Carolina school hit hard by our current economic situation. Our county is experiencing 17% unemployment. Out of 20 students in my room 13 are identified as at risk. Science enrichment and experiences are hard to come by.

Understanding how weather works and how to interpret weather data from rain gauges, anemometer and barometers is a large part of our science curriculum. It would be wonderful to have actual information to interpret and not just pictures from a book.

Having actual weather information available to collect and interpret from a wireless weather station would make for an exciting real world experience. This equipment would be available to our whole school with the potential to impact over 500 students.

Your donation will make it possible for our students to experience real weather data collection. As well as having real time information for prediction and interpretation. Thank you so much for your interest in helping my kids.
