The F.R.O.G.S. Team is Hoppin'!!!! We are a middle school core team. We work together to do interdisciplinary units that link math, science, social studies, and English. The students our team works with are 87% free and reduced lunch students who live in a high-need community.

Our students don't have the ability to see much of the world that exists outside of their own neighborhood. This obstacle hinders their ability to use prior knowledge to further their education and learning. Our team is trying to open their personal experiences and expand their background knowledge base.

We have raised $1000 as a team to take the students on two field trips this semester. The field trips will expand their hands on experiences, but we need to peek their interests in Egypt and Mummies before we head out on our adventures. We need classroom sets of books for each of our 4 core classes: math, science, social studies, and English. We can use these sets of novels, National Geographic, and non-fiction materials to help the students understand everything about the culture and history of Egypt.

Your added support and materials will make this entire semester a learning experience that will be an adventure the students will remember, NOT just two field trips that got them out of class. Your books will make the experience explode in the classroom learning environment as well. Your support will help build a prior knowledge base that takes them out of their own backyard and into the pyramids of Egypt.
