Our Physical Education grades were up during the 08-09 year after the introduction of Nintendo Wii activities and Wii giveaway into the high school program!! I teach in a high-need, economically depressed district with 60%+ of students on the free/reduced lunch program. We have mostly 9th & 10th grade boys and girls in our P.E. program.

When we allowed students with A's & B's to use the Wii on a rotating basis, and announced that the Wii would be given away at year's end in a drawing with all A & B students included, our failure rate declined drastically to 14 freshmen compared to 42 freshmen in the year prior. This year we have lost the funding that allowed us to buy the Wii, and are currently borrowing one which has no games.

We would like to be able to reward our kids again this year for maintaining high grades, thus we are applying to this site for help in purchasing games to use.

We feel that kids love the technology and variety of using the Wii and we want to see the continued improvement in our students. That improvement will undoubtedly help them to stay on track for graduation and hopefully help them keep activity in their lives.
