Students want to come explore our book collection but it is daunting to have no place to sit. I am the library specialist/teacher at a public charter high school of almost 300 students, now in it's third year. We are raising money for a new building but for the time being we have a very small space for the library. There are only 4 desks students and staff can work at. There is not room for more desks but there IS room to place 4 bean bag chairs between the library shelves.

Due to the current economy, the library budget has been drastically cut. One of the standards of a good school library is that it be inviting and comfortable.

Having places for the students to sit and enjoy our resources will bring more students into the library and open up their world.

You will make it possible for our students to become familiar with our offerings and make them better users of information both for school assignments and literature enjoyment.
