My students are about to explore the world of reading through books on tape. They will be exposed to various genres of reading and learn to love and respect all types of reading.

My classroom has very few books on tape for a listening center. My students love to listen to books at center time, but are very limited because of the limited selection of books on tape.

If my classroom could be equipped with a listening center, headphones, and a multitude of books on tape, my students would begin to explore the world of reading. They would improve their listening skills, improve their understanding of print concept, and be exposed to non-fiction, fiction, and various reading genres.

Your help will ensure that my students are exposed to many reading genres, develop better listening skills, and develop a love of reading. If students are exposed to reading at a young age, hopefully they will become lifelong readers.
