My students need over a dozen live tropical fish, an air stone, two boxes of fish food and several aquarium plants.

I am a teacher in a low income school district in Texas. Recently, our science scores hit their lowest levels ever. It is very sad because our students and teachers have worked very hard to help these scores out, but have not had much luck. Science is learned best by doing. Our school does not have a very big budget for items and it often falls upon the teacher to buy their own materials for the classroom. I have a fish tank in my room and would love to show students how animals interact in their habitat with it. I would love to have different types of fish in my aquarium so that students could observe real life science. I am requesting several different types of fish and plants to go in the aquarium along with the food to feed the fish. Imagine how much more interesting learning about habitats would be in an aquarium instead of fish on a piece of paper. With your help, I know that I can make science fun and interesting for the students. Please help me make science more than just a worksheet. Thank you for your time and consideration.
