Students who are not reading at grade level when they reach third grade have a much higher chance of going to prison than their peers who are at grade level, so daily reading instruction and practice are essential for future success.

With more than 300 students in Kindergarten through second grade, our school does not have enough books at an appropriate level for daily guided reading lessons for every child.

Adding these six sets of leveled reading books to our limited supply will provide all students with the chance to learn to read. These books will provide them with daily practice and give them the opportunity to lead a successful life.

Your generosity will provide much needed reading materials for students who do not have access to appropriate books at home. The daily reading practice can make the difference to their future.
