Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a fourth grade teacher in a very high needs school. The students in my school come from two local housing projects, and don't have many opportunities at school. Though we try our best to give our students everything they deserve, recent budget cuts have prevented us from starting new programs.

My students are very eager to learn, but sometimes lack the stamina needed to improve their language skills on their own. Worksheets are boring and some activities just take way too long. When they lose interest, they are no longer learning.

We need a fun, self guided activity, to keep the students involved and in charge of their OWN learning. I want my students to feel empowered and confident that they did everything they could to help them prepare for their exams. These Word Lab games will help them with this. They will be able to practice learned skills in a fun interactive, independent way.

Your help will ensure that my students have every opportunity to teach themselves. They will have fun playing games, while getting TONS of language skills practice! They will have the confidence to take those dreaded state tests knowing that they are prepared.
