My school serves a large and diverse student population. We are a Title 1 school with increasing test scores.
Show my class the world! Many of my students haven't been outside the community where they live. I recently borrowed a LCD projector and showed them the colorful nature of Autumn around the country. Then one day we had a talk about Michelangelo. So I borrowed the LCD projector again (which is becoming more difficult to reserve) to show them the works and history of Michelangelo. They instantly were hooked! They were interested in seeing other and new things "out there." From seeing the space shuttle to the natural habitats of polar bears. My students want to see what's out there. So help me bring it to them. I desperately need a LCD projector. Nothing fancy but good quality. I'm so inspired that I have some great ideas of how a LCD projector could help. I would show my students how to use the Internet safely. Some already have been exposed to the Internet but I would like to teach them how to search for information (a state educational standard). I could show them videos from child friendly sites such as Discovery channel or National Geographic. Seeing videos that show them the natural world is priceless. Bringing the outside world to my students is a must! My students are so curious and love how technology brings them information. They've already seen how easy they can search for information. Now I need them to learn more. Please help me bring the world to my class. HIDE My students need a LCD projector.
