Have you ever found a book you loved and wished there were more? I am the librarian for a junior high and high school. The library is the "hub" of the school because it connects both the junior high and high school. This includes grades seventh through twelfth. We are an impoverished community with issues of teen pregnancy and juvenile delinquency.

Sometimes it is not easy for students to find a book they absolutely love, but once they do...look out. They are wanting more of the same, and they cannot get enough! What is next? As a librarian I want to put the next book in their hands immediately, but money seems to get in the way of this want.

Having the next book in a series available for students will keep the reading momentum alive and create lifelong readers along the way. With the books I am requesting, when students want what is next, I will be able to give them the next book without hesitation. We need the next book in a series, and we need to begin new series of books for our readers to continue growing through the facets of a book.

You will make it possible with your donations for my students to have the next book in their hands immediately. I won't have to tell students, "Sorry, there is no money available right now to get that for you." Students don't need to take that "pause" in life. They should have it now!
