I teach third grade at a low-income school in Mississippi. My students are avid readers and I want to encourage their love for books. By providing my children with books that they enjoy reading I will be able to enhance the amount of literature they are reading.

My students are currently unable to break off into reading groups because we do not have multiple copies of texts. Having more than one copy of a book will allow my students to cooperatively learn and discuss their feeling about different books!

My students would love to discuss the books they are reading in class but it often takes too long because they are all reading different books. In order to diffuse this situation my students need 22 copies of the same books!
