I work with an amazing bunch of second graders. We have had the unique opportunity to move on to second grade as an entire class. We were all in the same first grade class last year. My second grade class belongs to a title one school. This means that we have a high percentage of free or reduced lunch at our school. (76%)

Our school is very big on using data to drive instruction. Our data indicates that one of our biggest opportunities for improvement is science. My students love science! They get so excited when we do experiments. It is so exciting when they make discoveries on their own. Because the students love science so much, I have integrated it into other subjects as well as scheduled a daily time to work on science. Adding science centers and games would give my kids much needed and enjoyed extra practice. It will also give them more experience with reading and following written directions.

The science game and science center packs both come with hands-on materials. This is an essential component when teaching science. In second grade we learn about matter, plants, animals, solar system and much more! These learning resources provide fun ways to learn about all of these areas of study.

Your help will bring great joy to our classroom. I love to give my kids opportunities to have fun! You will also make it possible for me to work with small groups of children. While my students are having a great time learning with these new resources, I can pull a smaller group to work with me. Imagine the possibilities!
