Learning to Excel Through Math Centers

My students need hands on math materials to help them excel in the math curriculum.

Help us learn to excel in math with hands-on materials. I am a 2nd grade teacher who teaches in a urban setting. My hands-on math materials are very limited and most of my students are hands-on learners.

My students face the obstacle of not understanding certain math skills. It is easy to stand at the board and draw things out. However, it is hard when I do not have the materials to physically show them. These hands-on math materials will help them in centers so that they can practice the math skill by physically holding the shape or whatever skill we may be learning.

By having hands-on math materials such as dice, shapes and clocks, my students will be given a better chance to practice the skill and achieve the goals that I have set for them and the goals that they have set for themselves.

With your help you can help me make a difference in my student's lives by giving them the math materials that they are not used to having. These materials will help them make real life connections. I thank you in advance.
