My students need a sturdy projector cart.

I am a special education teacher who teaches math and science in an extremely unique middle school. My small school is housed in a residential treatment facility for young women. All of my students are wards of the state, placed in this treatment center by the Department of Human Services. Most of my students are eligible for special education, and all of them are receiving mental health services. Although this is the neediest group of students that I have worked with, they are also the most motivated learners I have ever had.

I have just received a wonderful Infocus projector to use with my laptop. I have all sorts of wonderful ideas for lessons using the computer projector, including interactive science and math websites. How fun would it be to play math games with the whole class? I have already found a "Periodic Tale of Videos," which I am dying to share with my students, but I can't!

The trouble is, I have no place to set up the projector and laptop. My classroom is small, so I need something portable. I did find an old overhead cart in a closet, although the projector and the lap top do not safely fit on it. I tried it once, and I thought the laptop was going to melt from the heat of the projector! YIKES!

Although I have this fabulous resource for my students, we need your help in getting it into my students' sight. Please help make this happen!! These girls are worth it. Getting a projector cart for my classroom will ensure my students have some strong science and math experiences this school year. Please help them to have successful school involvement while they can, so that they can get ready for high school!
