I am a fourth grade teacher in an inclusion classroom. My school is a Title I school and is located in a high poverty area.

My students love Social Studies, however we have a very small time allotted to teaching it. Since I have an inclusion class, I have every level of readers in my room. Our Social Studies books are hard for a lot of the students to read because of the level at which they are written.

I would love to get Time Magazine for Kids because it includes up to the minute events that are happening in our world. I feel it would make Social Studies more interesting for all of my students, especially since each student would get their own copy! I would like to use it as our Friday Social Studies lesson so the students get a break from the regular book but are still learning about current events.

By supporting this project you will be allowing my students to learn about current events around the world. They will be engaged because the magazine is written for kids in a way that pulls them into the articles and helps them understand what is happening in their world.
