My 1st grade students in rural Louisiana face many obstacles in their daily lives and struggling to see our class work shouldn't be one of them. I teach in a high poverty area and my school administration lacks additional funds to be able to finance anything beyond the basic needs of our classroom.

My 1st graders are very visual learners and need to be able to see processes step by step. Our classroom has limited technology right now and we need a document camera (ELMO) to help my students visualize processes and see examples of exemplary student work. Having a document camera in the classroom would enable us to all be on the same page as we work through various projects.

We need a document camera (ELMO) to project student work and other information in the classroom. We would use this resource daily and it would be a vital component of our classroom. This tool would enable us all to see workbook pages or reading material projected large enough for everyone to learn from.

My students face many day to day problems and my desire is that our classroom provides them with a safe place to learn and grow. Seeing classwork and reading materials shouldn't be a issue my students have to deal with. With your help we will all be able to see clearly and acknowledge that the obstacles in our way are shrinking. We know that life in 1st grade will be full of bright sun-shiny days with with your partnership. Thank you so much for support!
