Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach library to K-8th graders in an inner city, low-income neighborhood. My students do not have access to the latest technology, but there are a number of free web-based sites, that with some accessories, they could utilize.

I want to spark my students' interest by integrating technology into the research projects and presentations of my students. My students are bored of just taking notes and typing a paper, I want them to create dynamic presentations that incorporate voice and images.

My students will use VoiceThread (a free web application) to create exciting presentations. They need the headsets to record their voice to go along with the images on a variety of topics. These headsets will be used by all my students in grades K through 8th. They will do research based presentations as well as digital storytelling.

With your help, my students will be excited to share their inquiries and research. They will be excited to show their parents what they can create!
