As I said, I am the art specialist at my school, but I also have one period of "Lunch Time Activities". Dodgeball has been the game of choice by boys and girls for the past four years. Dodgeball is a great workout and can include as many as 30 students per match.
I have used the same dodgeball equipment for two years now. We have worn out many of the balls, and the schools funds are needed in other areas.
I basically need new dodgeballs to keep the daily dodgeball matches afloat and include as many students as possible. Your donation will ensure that many students (around 120 a day) will get the chance to have some fun and exercise in the middle of their school day.
My students need some new dodgeballs for our school's most popular lunch time activity.

Dear Susie, The Lincy Foundation and Anonymous Donor,
I just wanted to thank you again for generously donating the dodgeballs that were so badly needed. The old set of balls we had were well used over the last three years and have earned their retirement. These new balls will see just as much action and provide for hours and years of fun and excitement for my students and I. We used the new balls yesterday for the first time. What a blast! The kids were so excited when I pulled them out of the bag. Our old dodgeballs were all blue or black. These balls come in all sorts of colors and sizes. The second and third graders were able to throw the little six inch balls so much easier than the previous eight and half inch ones. They thought they were great. The fourth and fifth graders loved the new colors and sizes too. The new balls have infused new elements of challenge and fun into our daily dodgeball games. I'll admit that I have just as much fun playing dodgeball each day with the kids as they do. It feels so good to get out of the classroom, get some fresh outdoor air, get a little exercise, and just play. I love it ,and I know the kids love it too. Thank you again for helping make all this happen!
With gratitude, Mr. R.

Dear Susie, The Lincy Foundation and Anonymous Donor,
Monday mornings are a little rough for me, but this Monday morning I discovered to my delight and surprise that my Dodgeball project had been funded. Thank you Lincy Foundation, Susie, and my Anonymous Donor. I am ever so grateful to you and your generous natures. The dodgeballs that your donations will provide will keep us playing dodgeball for years to come. Dodgeball is the brightest spot in many of our students' day. Kids have so much pressure on them to perform and pass tests, that they need some time to run and play every day. Dodgeball is a great outlet for this. There is no standing in line waiting for your turn, even if you get hit and you're out, you still get to participate from the opposing team's prison. The dodgeballs that I asked for are great. They're called P. Sof's. They are a durable yet soft rubber. They hold up really well and don't sting like traditional playground balls. I ordered some smaller ones too, so that the 2nd graders can get a good grip on them. I can't wait to try out the new equipment. I know the kids are gonna have a blast! Thank you so much again for your generosity!
