Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I want to make it, hear it, and present it!! This is what a teacher wants to hear a student that is excited about their work. I am a Special Education teacher at a public school in the inner city. My community is a high needs community. Although our city faces many challenges we have many eager learners that have a strong desire to learn. My students are faced with many challenges, but using technology always makes them smile.

I want my students to make PowerPoint presentations. Unfortunately we are missing the major components to make that happen.

They need a presentation laser that will allow to change pages from their seat and point out main facts. They also need speakers to present their work to the class and headphones to use when they are creating and do not need to distract others. My students also need USB drives to save their work or maybe continue their work in the computer lab. Our class always needs copy paper for final presentations. My class also needs a laptop bag to protect the class laptop. Having these materials will make assignments fun. It will allow students to bring their work alive. These items will be a big motivator to students who have problems focusing and paying attention.

Please make it possible for my students to enrich themselves in technology. Your help will ensure that my students are able to create worthwhile projects from the computer. This will be a major motivator. Please help motivate a child.
