Snug as a bug in a rug? We are a team of 24 Kindergartners in a high-need community. Our teacher does her very best to provide us with the materials, experiences, and confidence to help us become the best we can be.

In a Kindergarten classroom, the rug is a very special place. Each day, we sit upon this rug for lessons, to talk about our feelings, to play games, to listen to stories, and to sing songs. This meeting space brings us all together, and fuels our sense of community. We spend a lot of time on this rug throughout our Kindergarten days. Our classroom currently contains an old, torn and tattered, germ-infested rug that is too small for all of us to fit on. Some of us have to sit on the cold, hard floor, while the rest squeeze together for a spot on the rug. We take turns to keep things fair.

We would love to have a classroom rug that we could all fit comfortably on. Having a nice, clean, spacious, rug would also fill us with pride in our learning environment.

You will make it possible for us to learn together, share together, and grow together in a comfortable, safe, and pleasant setting. We would all love to be... Snug As A Bug In A Rug! :)
