"I teach kindergarten in a low income school. I want to give my students every chance to succeed but it takes supplies that I'm not always able to provide.

Working in a school that does not have the funds to provide the supplies that teachers need to provide quality instruction can be difficult at time. My students are always wanting to work with math activities but there are not enough activities to go around. I have my students work in groups and that usually works but I would love to be able to allow them to work independently too.

Math is a very important subject and with kindergrtners they need as many hands on supplies they can get since they learn through play and personal experiences. This also promotes understanding of mathematics and not just memorization.

Your help will ensure that my students are able to learn to love math from an early age.

My students need 8 math activities such as Fishing for Numbers to provide them with hands on experiences.

Dear Gary, Sean and George Kaiser Family Foundation,
Thank you so much for your support. It means everything to me and to my students to know that there are other people out there who really do care about the education of our children.
My students have really enjoyed working with the math activities that you all funded for our classroom. It is very important for my students to have hands on activities and you made that a reality and gave these students a chance that they may not have had to really enjoy math. once again thanks to all of you.

With gratitude,
Ms. S.

Dear Gary, Sean and George Kaiser Family Foundation,
Thank you so much for your help! It is wonderful to know that you also share my ideas on early childhood education and how important it is for the students to have the resources that they need to learn these crucial skills.
My class is going to love having these hands on activities to work with, my students all gain so much from these activities. The Children love to work with these activities at this age they learn so much through play and their interactions with the other students. By having them work with these things together they will gain so much.

With gratitude,
Ms. S.
