My students need "TIME for Kids" to have more reading that deal with current events. This is different than the everyday text books they are used to using.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach second grade in a high-need community. I am teaching at a school that has been open for 3 years now. Opening a new school is wonderful, but we don't have resources and help behind the school because of it being so new.
My students are low-income children. They have a home life that is scary at times. They don't have money to buy school supplies, so buying books or magazines doesn't happen.
I feel that having the Time magazines to use in my classroom will help the students get excited about school and events in the world. They will get to take the magazine home after doing work with it. They will have something to take home to read that is theirs.
First, thank your for looking at the "want" I have for my students. Your help will help my student become excited about reading different materials. My children don't have much, they are excited with pencils for their birthdays. Having this magazine will give them many things they can treasure from their second grade year in my class.

TIME For Kids Magazine- News Scoop Edition w/ TFK Around the World (grades 2-3). Pricing is valid for orders placed after March 2008.
