My first-graders love to play outside! My first grade class is a diverse group with many learning needs and challenges. Recess is a chance for my students to get some fresh air and exercise.

Our school, like many others, is suffering from budget cuts. The money we have needs to go toward basic supplies. We have no extra money for playground equipment.

We need jump ropes, catching games like trac-ball, and playground balls. These items will help my students get more exercise at recess time. Having playground equipment will help my students practice decision-making skills and social skills like taking turns and sharing.

Your generosity will make it possible for my students to have more choices at recess. Their smiling faces will brighten up the entire playground!
