Rug time is a fun filled interactive learning time. I teach first grade at a low income, title 1 school. Everything that we do in my classroom is centered around what my students needs are. First graders learn best with hands-on activities.

In first grade we spend a lot of time at the rug having class discussions, listening to stories, playing games and just having fun. Right now our classroom rug consists of two throw rugs that were brought in from another teacher's home.

Our classroom is in need of a new rug that is appropriate for first grade. With a new rug students would get excited about rug time and want to sit and be a part of class discussions and activities.

Your help will ensure that my students have an inviting place within our classroom to learn and explore.
