My students need to have resources to create learning centers. They need a trifold learning center pocket chart for non-fiction practice, a 4 sets of independent vocabulary building activities, desk size pocket charts and stands, desk patricians to turn group space into separate space when needed, Poetry trifold writing center, and a set of comprehension activity cards that can be done in small groups or independently at their desk.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a fifth grade teacher at an inner city school in a classroom that includes many low income, special education students and English language learners in addition to regular education students.

With so many different learners in a class with high numbers it is difficult to find time to meet their individual needs even though that is essential for their success.

What I hope to do is build a foundation of resources that I can use and add on to create centers and differentiate learning. Resources that will give me an opportunity to create useful activities for all my students, meet as many needs as possible, and allow time for me to meet with small groups of students and really focus in on what they need.

In a country where we say that "no child is left behind" please help me create an environment where each child really is learning to their full potential. Help me acquire resources that are not normally an option in a school that writes on chalk boards instead of SMART boards and reads out of date text books. Help me give these students the chance they deserve.
