Being on a military base, all students have at least one and sometimes both parents serving in the Armed Forces. At least 50% of all students have a parent serving in a hostile environment at any given time. I want to save our precious resources as well as spark an interest in my students. Having a document camera with a projector will allow me to stop using transparencies(lots of plastic wasted)and use the original document. It would also allow students to be able to share their work and do research in science. By having a document camera with projector, I would be able to model for the students correct procedures as well as using it like a microscope to enhance science lessons. I will allow students to take the lead when they are afforded the opportunity to share their work. Whether it be writing or art, all kids love to talk about what they have done and there is nothing cooler when sharing, than for everyone to see what they have created on the big SCREEN! Please help my students come into the 21st century with this great tool. Being able to share their work will foster more conversations on the subject being taught, which can only improve critical thinking skills hide» My students need a document camera with projector. details»
