I teach reading and writing to about 70 5th graders in a high-needs city school district.

We work hard and we need a class camera to show it! I have several bulletin boards dedicated to student achievement, as well as, one "getting to know you board." Last year, I posted pictures of kids at work on these boards and received a wonderful response from parents, students, and even administration. Unfortunately though, the camera I used was borrowed and I wasn't able to update the pictures often enough to show ongoing progress.

An easily accessible class camera would enable us to capture each student at his or her best throughout the year.

Students talked throughout the year about the different projects pictured and felt a sense of progress and pride. Parents responded positively and were more willing to help their child outside of school when they saw how hard their child was working. Administration got to witness the students at their best. At the end of the year, the students were able to pick out a picture and add it to their signature books. It was a hit, but will not be possible this year without your help!
