Bringing The World To Us (Time For Kids)

My students need 25 sets of "TIME For Kids Magazine - News Scoop Edition w/TFK Around the World."

My students are ready to bloom with the right resources. I teach second grade students in a Title One school with about a 95% poverty rate.

Most of my students have not seen the "world" beyond their small community. Many have never traveled outside of the state or even our county.

It is important for my students to understand that they are part of a diverse world community. As they grow into productive citizens they need to understand the people, places, customs, and current news of our world.

Having access to these magazines in my classroom will not only inform my students, but will also improve their reading skills and hopefully spark a growing interest in current events.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
