Hello to all those who want to make Science EXPLOSIVE!! I am a teacher in NY who desperately needs your help! I teach 7th grade science and I have for 2 years. We are located in a fairly low-income area and have difficulty getting the basic supplies for a classroom. I have about 100 students, all of whom want to learn and excel in school, but are having difficulty doing so.
I believe that children need to be able to express themselves artistically. Science is a perfect way for them to get hands-on and inventive. I have some supplies to get them started but you can help with the rest. I would like to create some 3-D volcanoes with my students this year, but we lack the materials to get started!
In order to make the wonderful volcanoes I've envisioned, we need a few supplies. The basic paper mache mix is essential. We would also need some paint and brushes to make our volcanoes really stand out! Other supplies are cotton balls and the wire mesh that would add the structure and detail to create amazing volcanoes!
I know it's a lot of supplies, but I would love to be able to use these supplies more than once. Imagine the amazing volcanoes our students can create. And if we get these supplies, I can guarantee some other projects will be created as well!
