We are a high-need, low-income geographically isolated mountain community who needs to learn about the world outside of our area. Please help!

We have no money and no science supplies. These mountain kids know little outside their county. We need a lot of help getting up to a 21st century knowledge level.

We need Weekly Reader's," Current Science" subscriptions to help us learn about what is going on with Science today. Our textbooks are outdated and as we all know...science changes constantly. Having the Current Science issues will bring today's news to us and make science more relevant to students. Each issue covers every area of the science curriculum—life, earth, and physical science, plus health and technology. Plus, the content reinforces National Science Education standards. The inquiry-based learning activities make science come alive and excite students' interests which is what is lacking in many science classes today. This would also help with reading comprehension and learning across curriculums.

Only YOU can help my students succeed. We have one of the highest unemployment rates in the state and are very high poverty. You're our only chance. Please help us. Thanks.
