Please HELP ME create a place that my students will want to and choose to go read.
I teach Pre-K in a low-income community with children from all over the world. I teach all subjects and incorporate literacy into all of them.
I am in a room that does not have all the furniture I feel our classroom needs to create the best possible learning environment for my students. With your help, I would like to create a special place for them to go and find a good book, comfortable spot, and read!
If we receive this furniture, I will be able to create a classroom library that students will be excited to visit. The furniture will help me to partition off an area that will include books and the new inviting furniture with children reading and looking through books. The furniture that will create our nice, new library will make the entire room a more comfortable and organized place. By creating the library, it will be easier to divide the rest of the room into different areas where students are all working on different tasks. The addition of the furniture and library will help individual students and the class as a whole to work most efficiently.
Your help with our library will ensure my students develop a true love of reading and learning. They will be excited to go to the library, choose a book, sit down comfortably, open their minds, open their book, and learn. You will make it possible for my students to have a special place to read. This is very important because they might not have many books or a place like this to enjoy at home. By creating a comfortable learning environment my students will be more likely to love reading and be passionate about it for the rest of their lives.
