"Pre-K is like fishing if you can give them the right kind of bait then they will be hooked on school for ever.
A lot of our students have not been read to at home or are learning to speak a new language (English). They come to school not knowing colors and shapes. We have a lot of ground to make up. We need lots of manipulatives to expose them to letters of the alphabet and the sounds they make.
We are requesting the search and find alphabet game to help our students become a part of the teaching process. If they look at the individual pieces they can work together as a team to share with the class what they can spy about that letter. When you teach what you know the knowledge that you have learned stays with you.
By funding this project you will help me make learning fun. That is my number one goal -- School is fun.
My students need many resources to reinforce their understanding of beginning sounds.

Dear Carolyn, Ellen Reagan, Laurie, Stephanie, val, Dorothy and L.J. boldyrev,
Thanks for your kind contribution to my classroom and students. These search and find alphabet circles are awesome. They are excited to be a classroom helper. They hold the alphabet circle and find a hidden item that starts with that letter. Then they share it with the class.
They are talking to one another and increasing their speaking and listening skills.
I appreciate all of your donations. This translates into fun, smiles and learning by my students.
Each of my students have benefited from your thoughtful gift.
With gratitude, Mrs. W.

Dear Carolyn, Ellen Reagan, Laurie, Stephanie, val, Dorothy and L.J. boldyrev,
I spy with my little eye happy children playing with a new phonics game. I spy with my little eye an honored teacher who is excited to bring new motivating games to her students.
This new game will be another tool to introduce letters and letter sounds. I can use the game two to three times a week and share with the other teacher in my grade level. Forty children will benefit from this new game.
We should receive the new game the first few weeks of school. What a great way to start off a new school year.
Reviewed the project essay and sent follow-up questions if needed.
