At any given time 60 to 80 percent of the students will have one or more parents serving in a hostile environment overseas. We are a Title One School with over 80% on a free and reduced lunch. Where is my DAD? It is hard to teach my students to know where their parent is with a small map in our textbook. The students love when we pull out our one globe in the classroom because it is just plain fascinating. The kids love to watch it turn and it always sparks so much conversation. For my students to be able to have the resources at their desks and be able to find not only where Dad is but the Eiffel Tower or the Pyramids in Egypt, will only help spark their interest in our world. These maps and activities will allow my students to develop a desire to learn more about their world. Please help empower my students with the knowledge that will follow them the rest of their lives. Building background knowledge about our world, can only enrich their lives. Please help make this a reality!! hide» My students need 42 maps, a globe, Developing Map Skills Book Series, and a Continents of the World Activity Chest. details» |
