Our school is a Title One school with over 80% on a free and reduced lunch. Is that true?? Teaching young students the difference between fiction and non-fiction is not easy. It is even more difficult without good resources. Each year I hunt endlessly at my school library and the public library to find books interesting enough for my students to read. I find many on the topics I need to teach, however, even the library books on these topics are always checked out. I have discovered my students LOVE the DK series of books. They are colorful, interesting and EXPENSIVE. I am asking for a collection of books that will enhance my teaching. By having books in our classroom, it would allow me to have my students take them home to read instead of keeping them in the classroom. How do you make children interested??? Give them the resources that they really want to use. These books are so interesting that they can make my students lifelong lovers of the book. Please help me keep my students interested in LEARNING!! hide» My students need 24 non-fiction and fiction books. details»
