"Each student’s web site will include an original animation with original music as a result of having access to Adobe Flash CS4 Professional. The High School students enrolled in the Digital Imaging classes will be able to share the web pages they have designed, developed, and created in the classroom with family and friends on a web site hosted by a service provider such as EasyCGI.com or TimeWarner Cable Inc./Roadrunner.

It is illogical to require high school students to create web pages as part of their high school state mandated requirements, as stated in the California Education Code, but not support, in its budget, a way to animate those web sites they create. Due to local, state and national budget cuts, it is no longer possible to offer our high school students the opportunity to have the web pages they have created include animations without the additional support from DonorsChoose.org.

It has become necessary for schools to seek out partnerships with private companies such as DonorsChoose.org. Our students are in need of such a partnership. We are asking a donor to procure Adobe Flash CS4 Professional for our students’ web pages. This would be tremendously appreciated. To have a donor sponsor us by providing us with this resource will enable our students' web pages to include animations!

The top of each student’s web site will include an original animation with original music which will include, but not be limited to, objects/items/video and audio they have created using Fireworks, Flash, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and/or Garageband. Each page will have that student’s original logo they have designed, created, developed and animated with original music thus enabling the teacher and the students to identify each other but not give away any personal or private information regarding them as a public school student. Additional web pages will have the equivalent of an Electronic Portfolio showing-off the work they have done throughout the year and because of your help their parents will be able to see their work animated any time during the year not just once a year at Open House!
