My students need 5 pairs of headphones with an external microphone and 20 additional sets of standard headphones for the students who are not using microphones for projects.

Our third grade classroom is filled with students whose parents are in the military or associated with the military in some way. We see a number of new faces every year.

Our class has discovered how cool it is to create podcasts. The problem is our school has no external microphones for our computers. Having 25 students try to record their voices in a crowded computer lab while speaking into the built-in mic on the top of the computer is a noisy disaster.

By having 5 pair of headphones with microphones, my students can record their podcasts without being worried about other voices in the background. The additional 20 headphones will allow the rest of the students to work on the other parts of their podcasts without hearing the students who are recording.

Our classroom will be creating podcasts for their parents. The podcasts are a great way for the students to show what they are learning. This project will be used to post recordings for parents to hear. I believe this is a great way for children to stay connected with busy parents and parents who are deployed. Your contribution will help make this possible.
