"We are a 2nd grade class in a low income community. 98% of our students receive free breakfast, lunch and diner. This year my classroom is an experimental classroom made up of many different learning styles. We are made up of ESL students, as well as, special education and enrichment students. We have very little resources to help engage the students in their daily studies. The few pieces of technology that we do have keeps them fully interested in many topics that may have once been thought of as "boring". My students love to learn!

Our school is mainly supplied by the support of others. We truly treasure any donations that we are given and use them to our full advantage. Integrating technology in education is crucial. But how can I do that without the tools I need? I know, Donors Choose can help! Our school district provides the classroom with two student computers and one printer. We need more technology! Help me integrate technology into our third grade curriculum.

Our classroom simply needs 1 video camera to share amongst 20 students. This resource will enable my students to stay engaged and excited about learning. At this point our school shares one video camera and it is often signed out by other teachers when desired. My students have shown an improvement in their studies when they are able to record their stories or plays and watch them again. I really believe a video camera for my classroom would enhance their learning experience. Through video taping my students are able to record their books as plays and watch them at any time. This not only builds self confidence and cooperative learning, but also allows students to see their strengths and weaknesses as a reader. This will allow my students to grow as readers, leaners and individuals; an educator's dream!

Through your support and donations you will greatly enhance my students education. You will make it possible for them to explore others forms of expression and learning. I need my students to feel comfortable in their own skin and by your gift they will be able to do so!

My students need a video camera to capture their learning and keep them engaged in not only their own learning, but that of their classmates! The cost of this proposal is $500, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ."
