I teach middle school band in a high-need community. I am so lucky to teach my band students. They are dedicated, energetic and appreciate everything that is done for them.

My students learn how to tune their instruments in band class. Unfortunately, our tuner no longer works. I wish I had a budget to draw funds from to replace the tuner, but I do not. I would also like to have a metronome to share with my students. Again, I don't have a budget that would allow me to purchase one.

I would like to have 3 Korg chromatic tuners to use in my band class. These tuners would be shared among the different sections of the band. They will keep their tuners with them and adjust their instruments as the band practices. They will also be able to use the tuners to help tune the elementary band. This is something the middle school students look forward to. I would also like to have a metronome. The metronome would be great for my students when they practice individually. The metronome would show my students how fast or slow a piece of music should be played.

Your generous donation will give my students the opportunity to learn how to tune their instruments. They will also be given the opportunity to help the elementary band tune on their concert nights. The metronome will give my students confidence when they are practicing on their own. We have a great band and with these items our band will show great improvements.
