Scanner/Printer Classroom Newsletters

My students need a scanner/printer/copier for monthly newsletters we make to send home and for pictures we display in the hallways of the students hard at work during science lab time. We have no color printers in the school and are very limited on scanning items. Students always love to see themselves hard at work and so do parents.

I teach 6th grade science at a middle school in a small community. We are very limited on resources or asking our parents to donate for the students work. We are a high poverty community where most of our students are on free or reduced lunches.

Teaching students how to scan and print their pictures is what many of my students would like to learn how to do. Also we send monthly newsletters home to school parents what their child has been up to and students always want to know why we can't scan some of their work or print pictures in color or even their work for projects.

We would really like a printer/scanner that students would be able to use to display their work in the hallway or even to send home to parents. I have many students who say their parents do not take pictures of them so I try to take their pictures and develop the pictures for them to take home.

You will make it possible for my students to share their experiences with their parents. This will also make the bond between parents and students a closer one through communication.
