I am privileged to teach a fantastic group of first graders who are excited to learn to read!

Each day, my students have several literacy choices: Read to Myself, Read to Someone, Respond to Reading, Work on Writing, and Listen to Books. Until this school year, I have had several personal cassette players and book/tape sets for students to use when they wanted to listen to a book. Now, most of the tapes and tape players have worn out and are difficult to replace. I am in the process of acquiring new electronic equipment, but I still need a variety of book/CD sets.

I need a wide variety of age-appropriate picture books on CD for my students to use during reading instruction each day. Reading and listening to books on CD will help my students develop their fluency, comprehension and their interest in reading.

You will make it possible for my students to listen to a multitude of fluent readers every day, which in turn helps them increase their own reading fluency and comprehension.
