My students need 31 paperback books, including 2 sets of leveled kit books.

I teach 2nd/3rd grade students in a high-need community that has a high number of ELL students and special education students. Many students' only opportunity to read books is at school. These students gobble up books like candy! They treasure what the book has to teach them.

In this low-income school there is not a great amount of money available to purchase books for the students. The students love reading books at their reading level, but there are very few books in the classroom for them.

In order to help students grow in their reading ability, I need more books that interest them and are at their level. The number one way research has shown to improve reading is by reading.

Your help will make it possible for students to read a wide variety of books and be able to improve their reading skills. Books can take children to far off places and help them explore places in their wildest dreams. Please help make these dreams come true by supporting our classroom and supplying it with books.
