Our third grade class is in a small, high-need community. We learn best in small groups and learning centers.

Many of my students do not have books at home. Many more do not get the experience to regularly hear adults model good reading outside of school. We are in need of a listening center with read aloud books.

In our class we have learning centers. The teacher works with a small group of kids every day. During that time the rest of the students work in learning center. We would like a listening center so we can hear examples of good fluency. This modeling will help us to become better readers.

Your donation will help my students develop the fluency needed to truly enjoy reading. Once they see how fun reading can be it becomes a life-long learning experience.
