Math and Reading: Colliding Curriculum!

My accelerated classroom offers 4th and 5th graders in my building an opportunity to learn all that they can! We move at a quicker, more challenging pace than most classrooms! I love teaching this group that constantly says "teach me"!
I recently realized that my students love to do cross-curricular challenges that involve Math! After reading "The Math Curse" by Jon Scieska , my students were excited to write their own versions. It was great fun to connect Math, a joy for reading, and writing! I would love to offer more books with a Math focus to inspire writing projects for my students! I researched Online and found the books that I am requesting in this proposal. They were all recommended by teachers.
I would love to have this assortment of children's books to showcase in my classroom. I would like to develop different challenges for my students involving these books.
